i have never heard of someone being r6 i KoaBD :S make one for r1, r2 and so on

I'm not going to get into this too much, but consider proportionally the effort ANet puts towards PvE and PvP (it's like the population of Los Angeles compared to that of North Dakota - look it up

) and your whole argument fails.

Lots of people are complaining because this is out of their reach, its out of mine too but I think it would be nice if there was a common armor that you could get for certain PvE titles.

Nice strawman.....
Point is there is no high end pve "shiny". Just because <5% will get it does mean it shouldn't be there. Are you honestly thinking when someone hit rank 15 hero there will not be a new emote. Or that the there are no Exotic Weapons from ATS. PvP gets a high end shinys, pve needs one, and the pheonix req is to low to be high end,(PKM can be easly gotten without stepping foot in HM)
Btw, i know of noone with r6 right now, highest person i know has 27, but there are tons of r4s out there, and that without the GWEN titles being maxiable, HM GWEN will make all those r4s into r5s.

if you want elite armor buy FoW and get a dread mask and chaos gloves etc.
all armor is the same, weather new armor were added or not it would not stop me working on titles.
i don't want some new "elite of the elite" armor added because you'll get a bunch of jerks going ooo look at me i got uber elite armor i'm the best.

plus whats to say it looks that great, i mean it could look like complete crap.
and not have to pay for it? i'm sure if they can get that many titles they could easily afford to pay the gold needed for it.

This still would not tell me your "elite". The only way I'll go oohh.. that's cool (as in working your butt off) is to have armor from items only you can earn that can not be bought with gold and items you can not get from trading.

I will comment on cool looking armor / dye jobs but that won't tell me your skill or how much work you did.

Why not PKNM or VIP or above?

Surely a mid-range rank in that title would make more sense! KOABD is extremely easy to get with all protectors and elite skills and exploration!

What exactly does that god awful looking space chicken have to do with this discussion?

I will not disagree with the idea of PvE guys having something "shiny" to show off for accomplishing that many titles, I do have to disagree with it being armor.
I really don't need another bad re-skin of any armor. I say give us an emote so we can spam it in the PvP areas and look just as stupid as those guys spamming it in our towns!

Seriously, it would be cool to have some kind of exclusive high-end treat for putting in all the work it would take to get it. Just don't let it be a re-skin of something that is already out there. Make it something new and just as good looking as the /rank emotes.

What is everyone's problem with this? "I can't get it so nobody should be able to". I would never be able to get it, but I would love to see someone walking around with something that lets me see automatically that they are one of the few that have been around since the beginning, stayed dedicated, and know this game to its fullest. So what if I can't get it? So what if you can't get it? Isn't the attitude of "if not me, then nobody" almost as childish and immature as we can get? We shouldn't be selfish, we don't HAVE to have everything.

I went asuran farming with a guy the other day. R4 KoaBD, 1 title from r5.

His Zhed was using SF, used RoF, and Healing Breeze.
His Dunkoro used Healing Breeze too.

He also told me that WoH is much better than LoD.

I have met dozens like him. If you think for a moment KoaBD means all that much in terms of game-mechanics and knowledge you're dead wrong.

r6 just means WAY TOO MUCH TIME ON THEIR HANDS.

And back to my original argument.
Do we really want ANet wasting more time on meaningless perks when things like skill updates aren't given a second glance?

I have too many characters in too many directions to ever get a high KoaBD rank on any of them.

I think the idea is awesome tho-

im not a fan of the rainbow phoenix; looks kind of lame, and really only useful for certain classes (ranger, possibly paragon or warrior). it would be more appropriate, imo, to have the phoenix-level KoBD title grant something different depending on your class

Your argument is very valid, but I think there is a big difference between r4 and r6. In order to get r6, you must have legendary vanquisher and legendary guardian. If that guy can get through everything in the game in HM with his skill setup, maybe it's better than you realize. I pick LoD of WoH like you, but could there possibly be a time or build in which WoH is better? I can't say. I don't know every permutation, and to claim that because I can't think of a situation means that there cannot be one would be extremely arrogant of me. So, I think the r6 req actually would indicate a high level of skill and thorough knowledge and understanding of the game.

Honestly, my first reaction to the r6 req was thinking it was too high, but even before my previous post I recognized that r6 makes sense for the reasons listed here. Yes, to get r6 you must have WAY too much time. I will never have that much time. I finally got PKM this weekend, but I don't see how I will ever make r3. I consider myself fairly well skilled. So I do agree with you in that r6 does say a lot about your free time, but I must disagree that it says nothing about your skill.

It is thinking like this that causes so many arguments on these boards.
If WoH, SF, and RoF are so useless then why are they in the game?
They all work, and they all work well. You may not like them for whatever reason and that is fine. From personal experience I can say that a WoH healing monk hero and an RC prot monk hero can get just about anyone thru any part of the game with very few exceptions. I don't play a monk very often and when I do I will be the first to admit that I am not really good at it.
I don't use LoD because I have never used it on my monk so I don't know how good or bad it may be.
My hero monks have got a couple of my characters thru all three games, one of them being a legendary survivor assassin that had all the games beat before getting to R3 survivor using only hero/hench.

No KoaBD does not really show skill or knowledge, sometimes it shows that someone has a good guild that helps out and gets someone thru things, has spent too much plat on a title, or is really lucky with PUG's. The bottom line is that they stuck it out and got it and for that I say give them something to show for it.

Everyone complains about the grind needed to get faction armors, and yet some people want to add an armor even harder to get.

Do you just post random suggestions as they come to your mind or do you think before posting them?
